Biden Withdraws from Presidential Race, VP Kamala Harris crowned as Presumptive Nominee without receiving a vote

Things have moved at a rapid pace since the assassination attempt on Donald Trump two Saturdays ago in Butler, PA.

Since the attempt, it became obvious that Trump was supposed to be dead, and that Joe Biden would remain as the Democrats nominee in 2024.

After a miracle took place in Pennsylvania, Trump survived, and the Democrats' plan shifted.

On Sunday, Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential race via X. Tonight at 8pm ET, Biden plans to address the nation for the first time from the Oval Office.

President Biden is expected to lay out his plans for the final few months of his presidency.

In Biden’s statement on X, he said that he has decided to “not accept the nomination and focus all of my energies on my duties as president for the remainder of my term.”

Biden went on to say that “My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.”

Harris wasted no time gearing up for her presidential bid, establishing a campaign headquarters and raising $81 million in the first 24 hours.

So far, Harris has had 2,668 delegates pledge their support for the upcoming Democratic National Convention, far surpassing the 1,976-mark needed to secure the nomination.

A damning ad was released by Republican Senate Candidate Dave McCormick in Pennsylvania highlighting his opponent’s endorsement of Kamala Harris for the upcoming election in November.

McCormick faces incumbent Bob Casey in November.

To recap the ad and remind voters how radical Kamala Harris is; here’s the bullet points:

  • GovTrack, a nonpartisan tracker of legislation and votes in the United States Congress rated Kamala Harris as the most liberal Senator during her time in the Senate from 2017-2021.

  • Harris is in support of eliminating the filibuster, a common tactic used to kill harmful pieces of legislation.

  • Harris would sign the Green New Deal if it reached her desk as President.

  • Harris would be in favor of banning fracking and offshore drilling.

  • Harris would treat illegal immigration as a civil offense rather than a crime.

  • Harris would be in favor of abolishing ICE.

  • Harris is in favor of defunding the police, stating that policing is “outdated and wrongheaded thinking to think that the only way you’re going to get communities to be safe is to put more police officers on the street.”

  • Harris believes we should reduce red meat consumption and change the food pyramid to combat climate change.

  • Harris believes convicted felons should be able to vote in US elections.

  • Harris would like to confiscate guns by force, supporting a government mandated buyback program for lawful gunowners.

  • Would eliminate private health insurance.

  • Believes in healthcare for illegal immigrants. “I am opposed to any policy that would deny any human being public health, period.”
