Head of Communications and Creative Strategy

Job Description:

The Common Sense Movement is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Communications and Creative Strategy to join our team. As the Head of Communications and Creative Strategy, you will play a crucial role in shaping our organization's public image, communication strategies, and creative initiatives. You will work closely with our leadership team to develop and execute innovative marketing and communications campaigns that promote our mission and values.

Responsibilities:

•      Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to effectively convey the organization's message to various stakeholders.

•      Create and manage engaging content across multiple platforms, including websites, social media, email newsletters, and press releases.

•      Serve as the primary content and copywriter, producing persuasive and impactful written materials.

•      Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.

•      Work with team on cohesive management of social media channels, engaging with the online community and responding to inquiries.

•      Maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists, proactively seeking opportunities for press coverage.

•      Stay updated on the latest marketing and communication trends, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

•      Leverage network to help grow The Common Sense Movement

Requirements:

•      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•      Background in communications and creative strategy or a related field is preferred.

•      Proficient in social media management and strategies.

•      Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to create compelling content.

•      Interest in politics is preferred, but not required.

•      Eye for design and ability to create visually appealing graphics.

•      Ability to work well in a team, collaborating with individuals across different departments.

•      Strong organizational and time management skills.

•      Leadership skills and aspirations to help build a content team for the Common Sense Movement
